IMPORTANT! FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH OUR USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY.
All our cookware is made exactly the same. However, how it is used and cared for ultimately determine how long time the pots and pans will continue to perform well. With proper use and care you will get industry-leading perfomance and value out of your new Gastrolux cookware. Conversely, failure to strictly follow our use and care instructions will dramatically reduce the cookware's performance and its perceived value.
PLEASE PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO:
1. COOKING TEMPERATURE (NEVER MORE THAN 500 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT).
2. NEVER COOK WITH FAT OR OILS AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE THEIR SMOKE POINTS AND NEVER USE COOKING SPRAYS LIKE PAM, ETC.
3. USE WOOD OR SILICONE COOKING UTENSILS, NOT METAL OR SHARP OBJECTS.
4. AFTER EACH USE, WASH BY HAND IN WARM WATER AND MILD DETERGENT (DO NOT USE DISHWASHER).
OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO BE HAPPY WITH YOUR GASTROLUX COOKWARE. FOR CLARIFICATION ON ANY OF THE USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT GASTROLUX COOKWARE. WE'RE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP.
Before First Use of Your Cookware
Remove the plastic fixations on the rim and the protective film from the base of your cookware. Clean your item with warm water, mixed with a little detergent and dry well.
Cooking Cutlery & Utensils
To maintain the function of the unique Gastrolux “Biotan” non-stick surface, do NOT use metal utensils, or any other sharp edged instrument which may cause damage. Instead, use silicone, wood, or other similar, gentler utensils and tools for optimal life span of your pan. However, if the surface should receive scratches or scuff marks it will not affect the non-stick performance or safety of your cookware. This is considered normal wear and tear and will therefore not be accepted as a claim covered by warranty.
Cleaning Instructions
After every use, we strongly recommend that you manually clean your pot or pan with hot water and “mild detergent”. If you “scorch” something onto your pan use a scotch-brite sponge to remove the material. Do NOT put Gastrolux pans in the dishwasher as this will shorten longevity of the non-stick effect; they are very easy to clean manually. Do NOT 'store' food in the pan for longer periods of time (for example over-night in the refrigerator, etc.). Proper cleaning of the Gastrolux pan after each use is crucial for maximum longevity. Lack of proper cleaning of the pan after each use ultimately resulting in oil and food residue build-up and loss of non-stick effect will NOT be covered under warranty.
Cooking Temperature and Energy Sources
Gastrolux non-induction cookware is suitable for the following cooking surfaces - gas, electric, glass ceramic and halogen. Gastrolux induction cookware can also be used on all the above cooking surfaces. Please note: Never leave your cookware on an active cooking surface empty, or unattended. Do NOT over-heat the product as the aluminum is superior in retaining heat and high heat is unnecessary. Over-heating will destroy the non-stick coating and reduce the non-stick performance. Gastrolux's non-stick coating is safe to use up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit on cooktop or in the oven. Over-heating will NOT be covered under warranty.
Special Instructions for use of Oil and Fats
Please ensure that you are frying within the heat tolerance of the oil or fat you are using. Failure to do so could result in “burning” the oil or fat, a consequence of which is the release of “Bitumen Resin”. This resin cannot be removed and will reduce the non-stick properties of the “Biotan” coating, thereby invalidating warranty claims in this respect.
